Francine's Hero Award

Celebrating Organizations That Create Belonging for Youth

We recognize programs that foster belonging and tackle the many factors contributing to isolation in youth. These initiatives integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) to help young people build the skills they need to thrive.

The Francine's Hero Award celebrates organizations that promote acceptance, kindness, and belonging. Inspired by Francesca’s journey and the heroes who supported her, the award honors those who transform lives and inspire others to make a difference.

By choosing certified programs, parents ensure their children are in spaces where they feel valued, respected, and empowered. These programs help youth form friendships and reach their potential.

Our certification program is under development, guided by scientific research to make it the best it can be. Meanwhile, we are thrilled to announce the first Francine’s Hero Award recipient: Oxford Learning, Bradford, whose inspiring work shaped this certification program. Congratulations!

Nominations for the 2025 Francine's Hero Award will open in March, stay tuned!
